FORT is born out of simple design and ethical production. They create simple, classically cut pieces for the everyday from natural materials.
Their collections are designed on the coast of Sussex where many of their garments are made. They also work with Lesia who is a Ukrainian seamstress who has come to the UK on the Homes for Ukraine scheme. Lesia is a professionally trained seamstress with 40 years of experience.
They also work with suppliers in India to stitch a small collection of garments, only working with suppliers in India that share their core values of valuing employees, fair wages, equal rights, and empowerment of women.
FORT only works with natural fabrics. Most of these fabrics are also organic and many are rain-fed, hand-woven and naturally dyed.
Their clothing is simple, functional and available in natural colours, ranging from gingham shirts to linen dungarees.
