Pala design and make sunglasses with an ideology rooted in ethics and aesthetics. Their passion is designing great eyewear, while creating change for the good of the planet.
Pala provide grants directly to eye care projects in Africa that seek to establish sustainable, long term solutions to facilitate eye care, eye tests and provision of spectacles. Glasses are an invaluable economic tool providing empowerment for the wearer. They enable reading, learning and access to better education.
Their sunglasses cases are made from recycled plastic. Each is uniquely handmade by a traditional weaver from one of three rural communities in Bolgatanga, Upper East Ghana. They stock shapes for men and women, including square, round and cat-eye.
