Slow and Sow are a mother-daughter duo, using natural dyes and vintage fabrics to create custom, small-batch pieces to wear and cherish forever. Foraging flora from the undergrowth in Sussex and nature’s botanical preserves to dye cotton and silk, which results in a unique spectrum of colours as the seasons change. Their product range currently includes headscarves, silk scarves and scrunchies, each of which are entirely unique due to the colour variance in the natural dye process. The inspiration behind their silk scarves is two-fold. Aerial imagery of landscape – river mouths meeting vast oceans – flowing and merging with one another, as well as an awareness of the use and misuse of water in the garment industry. All pieces are handmade in Sussex or London.
