The Wanderer makes beautiful, handwoven baskets. Each one is unique and for every one sold £5 goes to support education, child protection, micro-financing and healthcare in Africa via Afrikids.
Born out of an idea to source beautiful pieces from skilled artisan collectives in Africa and beyond The Wanderer has a strong commitment to ethical trade. They believe in creating honest partnerships and paying their weavers fairly for their craft.
The baskets are made from elephant grass which grows abundantly in the northern territory of Ghana. The colours are achieved using natural, non-toxic dyes and the handles are reinforced with cured leather.
